Weeks 9 - 11
Explore the idea that photography is not limited to one time or plane.
- Photocubism (Required) | Directions
- Time Exposure / Light Painting (One in the studio, one in the “wild”)
- Butterfly / Syllogism | Tutorial (x3)
- Start Photo Challenges - These are shooting assignments that ask students create images based upon an idea, concept, word, etc. (e.g. Beauty is..., Hot!, etc.)
Weeks 12 - 18
- Compositing Images / Select Tools
- Brainstorming Sheet (Print it out)
- Critique
- Visions of Santee (for Santee Art Show)
- Technical Shooting Challenges
- Low Key - This is when everything is very dark or black except for some aspect of your subject.
- High Key - This is when everything in the image is mostly white and bright. This can be done outside in a bright setting or in the studio.
- Bokeh - This is when you aim for a shallow depth of field with some light sources in background take on a glowing effect. Examples
